Students

The Exceptional Children’s Department at Fairview Elementary School is responsible for serving our students with disabilities.  The EC teacher is responsible for following the student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP) by supporting the goals and services as stated in the document.

The Exceptional Children’s Department advocates for our students by providing modifications and accommodations for classroom assignments and standardized testing.  We strive to be a liaison between our parents, students, and school.  Case managers will be contacting parents throughout the year to schedule IEP meetings.

We are proud to serve over 100 English Learners in and around the central High Point area.  Languages are keys to doors of understanding the world.  Because our students have an inherent exposure to many cultures and points of view, we feel that the English Learner population has an advantage when it comes to education.  Here are some of the languages spoken at Fairview:
